The antenna is placed in a weatherproof plastic housing. The brackets are made of sturdy, anodised aluminium and is designed to withstand strong winds. The plastic housing can be installed vertically or horizontally to the mechanics. Thus enabling a house wall or flatroof installation of the antenna. At the antenna input the strength of the signal is about 1 x 10 E-16 Watt, i.e. below the general noise level. Fitted behind the antenna is, therefore, an extremely low-noise preamplifier. The voltage is supplied via the antenna cable. This antenna is suitable for a temperature range from -30° C to +85° C. For an extended temperature range from -60° C to +85° C an antenna with built-in heating is available.
