Insertion of UTC leap second on 30 June 2012

In accordance with a decision by the IERS / PTB, on 30 June 2012, a leap second will be inserted in the last minute of the day in the UTC time scale.
This is 35th leap second since introduction of the UTC Time System.

For the insertion of the leap second time is calculated as follows:

When does Summer Time in Germany begin and end?

In accordance with the the resolution of the European Parliament the summer time periods for EU-member countries begin and end respectively on the following dates:

Begin of Central European Summer Time (CEST).
Start at 02:00 am local time, time advanced by one hour

End of Central European Summer Time (CEST). 
Start at 03:00 am local time, time turned back by one hour

30.10.2012 / 01:00 Uhr UTC

 CET = UTC + 1h;   CEST = UTC + 2h
